Ironman has been very kind to me on several occassions, and it is one of the few slots that keeps on popping bonus rounds, throws out lifesaving hits when needed and in my case, even awarded a random jackpot! (my only one to date on Playtech slots).

The bonus feature on the Ironman slot is quite simple, but very cool. When you hit three or more Ironman scatters, you will go into the “Missile Bonus”. Here you get to pick missiles, and behind every missile is either  a cash prize,  a multiplier, or a number of freespins. If you pick both a number of freespins and a multiplier, the picking ends and the freespins commence.

The base number is 5 freespins, these you will get at the least, at a x2 multiplier. You will find freespins varying from 5 to 8, and up to a x3 multplier and I have gotten up to 21 spins at a x3 multiplier myself, with a nice cash bonus to boot. In the freespins feature whilst playing Ironman , hitting 3 or more scatters will add 10 more spins, at the current multiplier, ad infinitum.

If that was all the Ironman slot had going it would not have been my favourite. The big prizes are not in the freespins, but rather in the maingame: The Ironman symbol comes in two scatter-like forms, and they can be a heap of good news when they land, in several ways. Let me explain.

First off, if you hit  a 5 of a kind with both symbols in them, you’ll be awarded  a 750 x linebet, however, if you hit a five of a kind with strictly the same Ironman symbols, it will be  a whopping 5000 x linebet.

The highest symbols thus are the two Ironman special symbols, the rest, in descending order are divided on this 5 reel, 25 line slot with following payout:

• Scatters for up to 100 x total bet.
• Tony Starks for up to 500 x linebet.
• Missiles and Suitcases for up to 200 x linebet.
• Aces and Kings for up to 150 x linebet.
• Queens and Jacks for up to 100 x linebet.
• Tens and Nines for up to 75 x linebet.

The thing is, the Ironman symbols are stacked on reel 2, 3 and 4, so they mostly don’t come alone. And, as if that wasn’t cool enough, when one of these symbols is stacked across an entire reel, it turns into a wild reel. Can you imagine what monster hits you can achieve? I sure can, and have seen them plenty!

Outside of freespins this can be a three reel full wild board, and inside of freespins, it could be a three reel full wild board x3. Yes, it rocks, and dont forget about that Marvel Jackpot. If me and my luck could  hit a minor on minimum bet, who knows what you and your luck and betsize might trigger?
